A: GHB is the identifier for the Governor's Harbour airport. This is the airport that's closest to The Duck Inn.
Q: Should I bring food with me? If so, what am I allowed to bring?

Bringing food is not necessary. There are a couple of grocery stores within walking distance of The Duck Inn. Prices are a little higher here on the island but not outrageous. Some people opt to bring meat with them since kitchens and an outside grill are provided here at The Duck Inn. If you bring meats, please note that the airlines do not allow ice or dry ice on the airplanes. You're not allowed to bring any fruits or vegetables.
Q: Will I need a passport to travel to the Bahamas?
A: Yes, you will need a passport.
Q: Do I need a rental car?
A: A rental car is suggested if you wish to view the many beautiful sights and beaches that the island has to offer. The island is over 100 miles long - there's a lot to see!

Q: Is The Duck Inn located at a beach?
A: The Duck Inn is located at the start of Governor's Harbour proper. A few steps across the road from The Duck Inn is picturesque Governor's Harbour Bay. Here, you can walk into the sea to swim, snorkel, kayak or fish and as the Caribbean gently ebbs, a broad swathe of sand is exposed, curving around to a permanent golden sandy beach across from which there is another golden sandy beach on Anchor Bay. Half-a-mile across the island there stretch miles and miles of the most beautiful and secluded soft pink sandy beaches where you can beach and snorkel and fish until your hearts content.
Q: Will I need wading shoes when exploring the beaches?
A: The answer to that varies with the different beaches. Some beaches are covered with soft clean sand and others require walking across shells and rocks. You're going to want to explore different beaches so please bring wading shoes with a good sole to ensure protection.

A: Playing on glorious golden and pink sandy beaches; swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, boating, fishing and diving in the warm gentle tropical azure seas; biking or driving exploring the 110 miles of unspoiled historical Eleuthera Island; going to beach BBQs dancing to the rythmic calyspo and reggae music and mingling with the happy care-free friendly island folks. Visiting other close-by off-shore islands by speed-boat ferry. Then after you get back to The Duck a shower and toasting the setting sun from your own private deck or veranda.
